Barratts iPhone App

Discover the latest trends & footwear from the NEW Barratts Shoes iPhone Application. If you want to check out what’s best to wear with your outfit, then use our cool new outfit & shoe match feature. Simply take a picture of your outfit and then browse our wide collection of footwear to complete your look. Or if you want to match your birthstone and personality with our latest collection then we have a great feature to help you out.

 When we decided we were going to develop an iPhone app, We opened it up to our customers via email  to send us there ideas and the best one would win £250 of Barratts Vouchers.

 Here is the winning idea from Bianca Martin from London.

This application that I thought of is called MyShoes. Some times when a customer buys a pair of shoes they do not know if they will go well with an outfit so this application lets you take a picture of them self in the outfit and then you are able to pick the shoes from barratts that you are looking to buy or like and the costumer will be able to try the shoes on them self with the outfit before the customer buys the shoes so they will know if the shoes look nice or not. After looking through and finding a pair of shoes that the customer likes they will then be able to buy the shoes. The application will also let the customer save the picture of them self so they do not have to keep taking a picture of them self if not wanted. 

So from this suggestion we developed our Barratts Complete The Look App which allows you to browse our full collection & Trends inspirations to find the best shoes to match the outfit you have taken a picture of! We then rewarded Bianca with her prize and here is what she had to say:

My names’ is Bianca and I am 17 years old. At present I am studying Creative Media at City and Islington College, in London. It is a great course and I intend to work in this area in the future. I believe that all girls like to have matching shoes and accessories. As soon as I saw that Barratts needed help to think of an iPhone app the idea came straight to my head and I think I came up with the perfect application. The idea was that you could take a picture on your iPhone of yourself in your chosen outfit and if you haven’t got the shoes to go with it then the iPhone app would help you decide what shoes and accessories to buy that would go with your clothes and then you buy them straight from the application.

A while later I received a phone call saying that my idea for the iPhone app had won the competition. I was so excited and received £250 pound worth of Barratts vouchers which I am going to spend on shoes and accessories, I am also going to buy my mum a hand bag because she says why buy a £500 designer bag when you can get a really fashionable one from Barratts at a realistic price. I say that a girl can never have too many shoes and I can’t wait to start spending my vouchers.

I would also like to thank Barratts for choosing my application out of all of the other competition entrants.
